Primary School Video Resources

During the 2020 lockdown for COVID-19, we’ve been working from our home studio on video assemblies for primary school age children. These have been designed specifically for schools to use however they wish: to download and show to the handful of children who may still be attending school, or to send links home to parents so that children can still feel connected with our 21 year old project of assemblies. Each assembly comes with learning targets in line with Intent, Implementation and Impact objectives.

You can also watch the videos below as a playlist all together via YouTube:

Forgiveness:

Join Tabz (David Taberner) as he brings us our first video assembly / collective worship on the theme of forgiveness. Also featuring: content from Hettie & Emily in the CCS Kids studio too!

Learning Objectives:

  • To widen understanding of the Christian Easter Celebration and its origins.
  • To implement widened understanding through remembering the times when we’ve needed to forgive others, or sought forgiveness from those around us.
  • To reflect on Jesus’ example of forgiveness to Peter, as shown in the Easter accounts in the Bible, and see an impact in our own willingness to forgive.

Safe Space Kids: Bitesize SMSC Videos

In our secondary school work we run ‘Safe Spaces’ during lunchtimes, with fun, games, chilling out and exploring the big issues of life and faith in a safe space. We have created a ‘Safe Space Kids’ channel on YouTube with primary school friendly bitesize video versions of some of the SMSC style content we explore. We upload to the channel at least once a week and suggest parents subscribe to the channel so their children can keep up to date:
