We are so excited to be running the Youthscape Essentials Course in Southport to equip and enable local churches and individuals to serve and pray for young people too, whether that’s with us, through your local church, or even amongst your family. We’ve arranged the first 5 weeks of the course to be open to anyone concerned with how the local church can serve young people better. This is then followed by another 5 weeks of more in depth & practical input for who is already helping with young people at their church, or thinking about getting involved.

Try out the first five weeks:

We’ve arranged the first five weeks to work for ANYONE who knows Jesus and is concerned about the lack of young people’s experience of ‘church’. This is for anyone who wants to be better informed in their prayers and desire to see their generation of Church leave a lasting legacy for generations to come.

At each session you’ll hear directly from a young person in a series of specially commissioned films. You will discover more about young people’s lives and experiences, deepen your own faith, and be sent out in hopeful prayer.

Dates:

Tuesday evenings 7.30-9.30pm

20th September – 18th October

Location:

Cafe 1821, Christ Church Southport, Lord Street, PR8 1AA

Do the full course:

The full 10 week Youthscape Essentials programme is an innovative new course for volunteer youth leaders that increases your skills and confidence about work alongside young people – whether that’s running a community project, church youth group, or helping out from time to time on a Sunday morning.

Youthscape Essentials is ten sessions covering 30 topics. The topics are divided in Insights into Young PeopleSkills for Youth Work and Developing Character. You’ll listen to young people, learn from professionals, participate in practical exercises and take time to deepen your own faith. It makes no assumptions about your experience, age or background. It’s accessible to those starting out as volunteers, but deep enough to stretch those who have been working alongside young people for longer.

Dates:

Tuesday evenings 7.30-9.30pm

20th September – 29th November (with a break on 24th October)
